  • The Yankari Game Reserve
    A large wildlife park in Bauchi State, a state in the northeast area of Nigera. Created in 1956, it is Nigeria’s largest national park and is home to over 50 species of free-roaming mammals, including elephants, baboons, hippos, buffalo, and lions.
  • Lekki Conservation Centre
    A conservation centre and wildlife reserve near Lekki, a city south-east of Lagos. Wide areas of protected wetland and savannah habitat are home to a number of free roaming animals including birds, monkeys, crocodiles, and snakes.
  • Victoria Island
    Formerly a separate island, Victoria Island is an affluent city district on the river mouth of the Lagos Lagoon. With many restaurants, nightclubs, shopping opportunities, and hotels, it is perfect for nights out on the town.
  • Tarkawa Bay Beach
    Accessible only by boat and water taxis, Tarkwa Bay Beach is situated near the Lagos harbour. It is the perfect place to spend the day sunbathing.
  • Zuma Rock
    An iconic landmark of Nigeria, Zuma Rock is a large natural rock formation situated in Niger State. 300 meters high, Zuma Rock dominates the landscape and is even featured on the 100 naira note.
  • Oluma Rock
    With a long tribal history, Olumo Rock is a mountain in the ancient city of Abeokuta in southwest Nigeria, an hour’s drive from Lagos. A popular tourist destination, it is home to a museum, restaurants, a bustling marketplace, and many crafters of Nigerian’s historic tie-and-die adire clothing.
  • The Agodi Gardens
    A popular tourist attraction in the city of Ibadan, the Agodi gardens is a botanical gardens stretching over 150 acres. With a waterpark, lake, and picnic and play areas, it is a popular spot for families.
  • Osun-Osogbo Sacred Groves
    Located some 300km from Lagos, Osun-Osogbo is one of the last sacred forests remaining of the Yoruba people. A UNESCO World Heritage site since 2005, it is a gorgeous grove that holds an annual two-week August festival of cleansing and cultural renewal.
  • Idanre Hills
    One of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Nigeria, the Idanre Hills are home to a wide variety of wildlife. The hills are the only natural habitat of the Perret’s toad, a critically endangered species.
  • Old Oyo National Park
    Located in southwest Nigeria, the Old Oyo National Park contains the ruins of the ancient Oyo Empire that gives the park it’s name. With over two thousand square kilometres of lowland plains, the park features large outcrops of granite, as well as zoens of caves and rock shelters perfect for mountaineering.
  • Ogbunike Caves
    Located in the tropical rainforests of southeast Nigeria, the Ogbunike Caves are a highly spiritual site used for centuries by local people as a place of worship. Streams run throughout the interconnected cave system, flowing out to meet the River Nkissa.
  • Oban Hills
    Lying within the Cross River National Park in eastern Nigeria, the Oban hills feature an untouched lowland rainforest, home to the endangered Preuss’ monkey.
  • Ogbaukwu Waterfall
    One of the lesser known natural sights in Nigeria, the Ogbaukwu waterfall features one of the largest caves in Nigeria. It isn’t just a place of natural beauty, but also historic and religious significance.
  • Alok Ikom Stone Monoliths
    The Ikom monoliths are a series of mysterious meter-high stones hand carved with intricate designs. Situated in the Cross River State, there are over 35 different groups of rocks placed throughout the town of Ikom.
  • Ancient Walls of Kano
    Built in 1095 as a defensive wall around the city of Kano, northwest Nigeria, the ancient walls of Kano is another UNESCO site and considered to be “one of the most impressive monuments in West Africa”.
  • Sukur Cultural Landscape
    On the northeastern border of Nigeria and Cameroon, Sukur is a cultural heritage site and the first to receive a UNESCO inscription. The landscape is known for iron age relics and the rich cultural history of the Sukur people who live there.
